Image Compressor: FAQ
How does compression work?
You choose a quality level (10–100%) and an optional maximum dimension (keep original, 1920 px, 1280 px or 800 px). Larger sides are scaled down proportionally; smaller images are kept as they are.
Which formats are accepted?
JPG, PNG and WebP. Batch mode lets you compress many images and download them all as one .zip file.
Is quality lost?
JPG/WebP re-encoding at lower quality discards some data — that is how compression works. Try 80–90% first; if you need pixel-perfect files, keep PNG or raise the quality level.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens entirely in your browser and the originals stay private on your device.
